Artist statement

I work with stereotypes, pastiche and mimicry.

My work is based mainly in digital techniques and an ongoing textile crafting practice. They materialize temporarily as objects for exhibitions. Should someone feel an urge to own my work as an object, we discuss what that ownership would look like and what is meant by an object of art.

I also study philosophy, currently the notion of difference in Martiniqan poet and philosopher Édouard Glissant’s work.
